Roblox Studio
Build your Roblox game with AI
Somnus connects to Roblox Studio and works inside your place. Ask for a script, a map or a bug fix in plain words, and watch each change happen in Studio.
What you can do
Somnus reads your game tree, so it writes code that fits what you already built.
- Write and fix Luau scripts
- Build parts and maps
- Insert assets
- Start and stop playtests
Connect in three steps
The connection works on Windows. Roblox Studio is not available on Linux.
- Install or update Roblox Studio.
- In Studio, open the Assistant panel, click the menu, choose Manage MCP Servers and turn on Enable Studio as MCP server.
- In Somnus, open Capabilities, then Connectors, then Roblox Studio, and click Connect. A green light means it is connected.
Safe by default
The first time Somnus edits a place, it asks for permission. Every change shows in the Changes tab, and Ctrl+Z in Studio undoes anything.
Prompts to try
| Prompt | What Somnus builds | Where to check |
|---|---|---|
| Add a leaderboard with coins | A leaderstats script and coin pickups | ServerScriptService |
| Make a lobby with a 30-second countdown | Lobby parts and a round timer | Workspace and a playtest |
| Find bugs in my scripts | A list of issues with fixes | The Changes tab |
Questions
Do I need to know Luau?
No. Describe what you want. Knowing some Luau helps you review the changes.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
Not yet. The Studio connection is Windows only for now.
Can I undo what it did?
Yes. Use Ctrl+Z in Studio, and review every edit in the Changes tab.
